Behind The Name

Karma Karmelian was founded by sisters Linda and Trudi Philip, and friend Michelle Donald. Three women who struggled to find skin care to satisfy their skin needs. Products containing oil, fragrances, and chemicals were not only unsuitable but undesirable.

Sourcing effective and affordable skin care was a major concern, and it was a seemingly near impossible task, until we discovered the many benefits of an age old remedy ? clay. With determination and a stroke of good fortune, we discovered what we believe to be the most supreme quality Australian clays and active mineral waters producing blends of mineral mud with a lightness of texture beyond compare.

With various qualifications ranging from beauty therapy to business and after much research and testing, we have developed a truly wonderful range of mineral mud masks suitable for most skin conditions and ages, for both face and body, used externally or internally.

Having encountered our own problems and spending literally thousands of dollars on products that simply did not live up to expectations, we are thrilled to offer you a completely oil, fragrance, preservative and chemical free alternative to skin care management that really helps improve skin condition, tone, and clarity.

Karmelian ? a play on the spelling of chameleon. Chameleons are prehistoric as are our ancient clays. There are many different species of chameleon found around the world, as there are various clay deposits located in many countries around the world. There are also species of chameleon uniquely Australian, and our clays are certainly uniquely Australian! The Chameleon is renown for its ability to adapt quickly to suit its environment and our Mineral Mud products have this same ability. Mineral Mud is safe for the very young, or the more mature, those with dry, sensitive skin, or those with oily and problematic skin, in fact any skin at all, as Mineral Mud works to suit YOUR skin.
